Community Service
For many years, Yankee Artist Guild's Community Service efforts have supported two important projects, Treasure Boxes for Visitation House and Veterans and Kelley Backpacks for children entering emergency Foster Care.
Visitation House
Visitation House is located in Worcester, MA. This residential program helps pregnant women in crisis prepare for the birth of their babies. It also helps them prepare for their life together after their babies are born by providing assistance with housing, education, and employment. Treasure Boxes are donated to the new mothers to be used to save their family photos and special memorabilia.
Painting for Veterans
Our guild members are the most kind, generous, caring people I know! Each year we donate gratitude boxes to our veterans.
The hand painted boxes contain comfort items, playing cards, a Dunkin gift card, and a handwritten note of thanks.
Twenty boxes are packed and waiting to be delivered to the DAV in Gardner, MA.
